CompEx Toolbox Guide Edition 7
CompEx Toolbox Guide Edition 7
Introduction
Following the release of the ‘Practitioner’s Handbook’, which was prepared under the auspices of the CompEx Scheme Committee and first published in 1997 by EEMUA as Publication 186, many requests were received for a toolbox version that could be carried easily and used as a ready reference by workers in this field. This pocket-sized book is the outcome. This Toolbox Guide, EEMUA Publication 214, is especially recommended to all technicians who have taken the CompEx course to remind them of both the knowledge and practical elements of the course, which they are expected to apply when working on electrical installations situated in potentially explosive atmospheres. Both of these publications have the support of industry in general and the petrochemical industry in particular. The content has been discussed widely to minimise the possibility of serious error and omission.
